Lister 52528 of 1961 “Cortina”

Recently recovered from the Middlebrook mushrooms site at Wilmslow this locomotive came to the railway as nothing more than a frame, roof and some weights. It is believed that the parts were slowly stripped from it to keep its fellow Lister, 50888, alive and running.
The name Cortina was found very faintly on the inside of the front buffer weight, presumably from one driver’s love of the type of car.
This restoration will be a long and steady one, but the current owner has stripped what is left of the frame and is currently hunting parts, if you could help, please notify a member of staff.
