Operation of the Horse Tram, 24” gauge, at Moseley Hall Grammar School

1970-71

School moves to new premises. 20” gauge railway built and opened.

1976

Decision taken to convert to 24” gauge railway after brief period of dual-gauge

1976-1998

Operation at the School, latter known as the Margaret Danyers College. Last day was April 1998.

1998

1998 (former) School Railway Society becomes Moseley Railway Trust

1998-2006

Trust equipment in storage. Achieves Charitable status in 2003.

2006-2010

Site developments start at Apedale in 2006. Storage building erected in 2008. Operations on Apedale Valley Light Railway start August 2010.

2010-today

MRT volunteers continue to develop and enhance Apedale site, the AVLR and the vehicles which operate on it.
