The Moseley Railway Trust is run and managed solely by the volunteer members of the Trusts. We are always seeking to recruit new members, and especially those who wish to become actively involved at Apedale. There is a wide range of work to be undertaken; from skilled engineering to unskilled work, from working in the shop to working on the track. Volunteering provides a rewarding experience, and we can find something to suit all interests and aptitudes. For safety-critical duties (such as operating the Apedale Valley Light Railway), training is needed, and will be provided to those who are interested.

Young people are welcome. However, to comply with the Trust Child Protection Policy, the minimum age for Trust membership is 11. Children aged 11 or 12 must, when on-site at Apedale, be accompanied by a parent or guardian (who must also be a member of the Trust). Children aged 13 to 15 may be unaccompanied, but a Parental Consent is required in all cases. There are no restrictions for those 16 and over.
