We will re-open to the public on Saturday 1st August. During August, we will operate on every Saturday, plus Sunday 9th, Bank Holiday Sunday 30th and Bank Holiday Monday 31st. We expect to run a similar service in September – Saturdays plus Sunday 13th.
Steam trains will run on August 8 & 9, plus the Bank Holiday weekend 29-31st.
Trains will run from 1130 to 1230 and from 1300 to 1600. The train will run with a significantly reduced capacity due to the need for social distance. Therefore, we will run trains “on demand” when needed, in order to prevent queues building up.
We will run our Teddy Bear Outing on August 8 & 9 – kids with a furry friend travel for free.
The Classic Cars event on August 30 will take place.
Our two Autumn enthusiast events – Farewell to the Joffre (September 12 & 13) and the Diesel Gala (October 3 & 4) will go ahead. Plans for these are under development – watch this space.
There is a one-way system in place around the station, and the train will be sanitised after each trip. Things will be different, but hopefully still fun and enjoyable.
We will need to ask each visitor, family or group for a name and contact phone number. This data will be used solely for “track and trace” should it be necessary. The data will be destroyed after 21 days, and will be used for no other purpose.
We would ask that, if at all possible, payments are made using a contactless card. We now have to ask that a face covering is worn when inside the shop.
Fares for normal operating days are:
|Children under 16||£1.50|
|Family||£8.00||(max. 2 adults, 4 children)|

Dogs Travel Free, but must be on a lead and travel at their owners risk.
