The volunteers of the Moseley Railway Trust offer you a warm welcome to the Apedale Valley Light Railway!
We operate trains on every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday from Easter until October. Details are shown below. Please see the “Events” section for details of events planned for 2025.
All tickets are bought on the day from the station shop. The only exceptions to this are the Santa Specials in December.
Trains run at 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:30 and every half hour until 16:00. Operating times may vary on special event days. A round trip typically takes approximately 15 minutes.
Fares for normal operating days are:

Children under 3 travel free. Single tickets to/from Apedale Road station are available (it’s a pleasant walk through the Country Park to reach Apedale Road station).
2025 Special Offer:- To coincide with the school holidays, we’re launching a sizzling summer special! Pay once – ride all day. Yes, your standard return ticket can be used for as many train rides as you like. This offer will continue to the end of the 2025 Season. The offer does not apply to the Gala weekend (September 13 & 14) and Halloween Spooky Trains (October 25 & 26).
Fares may differ on certain special event weekends.
