The Moseley Railway Trust is the registered charity which owns and operates the Apedale Valley Light Railway. Everyone you see on site (or behind the scenes) is a volunteer – we have no paid staff. We are always looking for new volunteers – and more information on Trust membership and individual volunteering can be found here.
We have also organised many successful volunteering days for corporate clients. Previous groups have been hosted from many diverse organisations, including Atkins, National Grid and the UK Department for Transport. Such days are great for team building and meeting corporate social responsibility obligations. These days can range from simply undertaking a worthwhile project with colleagues to undertaking more structured training for those involved in the railway industry – we can do things at Apedale which might be rather challenging on the national network!
