Stretching the definition of “loco” a bit is the Panther Wagon. This is a re-creation of a motorbike on rail wheels, which was created by a group of friends in the 1960s to allow quick access to the worksites on the Ffestiniog Railway Deviation project. Built in Whaley Bridge, this item starred in the FR’s “Quirks & Curiosities” event in 2017. This item moved to Apedale on 22 October 2024.
