Day One of the Leafers at t’Pit Land Rover rally at Apedale, and wonderful to see the event field covered in Land Rovers with not a coil spring to be seen. Apparently, the organising group are expecting even more tomorrow (Sunday), so it looks as though some of the rabbit burrows may be in for a re-homing exercise.
The road vehicle theme continues into Monday when we host the Classic Car day. We’re running steam trains on all days, first train is at 1130, last train at 4pm. The current plan is that Hunslet 1215 will work trains on Sunday, and the Avonside “Ogwen” on Monday.
In between admiring the road vehicles, a major shed shunt was carried in preparation for a further influx of new arrivals.
