Just a quick reminder that this Sunday 21st August is Kerr, Stuart day. Kerr, Stuart was Stoke-on-Trent’s premier builder of locomotives, and a pioneer in several fields, including diesel locos and lorries. However, it’s steam all the way on Sunday. We will be operating resident Kerr, Stuart loco “Stanhope” – recently returned from helping out at the West Lancashire Light Railway, and welcoming “Wren” class loco “Peter Pan” which is in its centenary year. Also on display will our “Joffre” class Kerr, Stuart no.3014. All told, that’s 300+ years of Staffordshire craftmanship.
Trains will run from 1130 to 4pm, with a break for lunch at 1230. Our standard fares will be charged.
