Subject, as ever, to the vagaries of antique machinery, the expected loco roster for August is as follows:-
August 3 & 4 – WW1 110th anniversary weekend. Hunslet 1215 will be operating in conjunction with the two Motor Rail “Turtle” internal combustion locos. The Hunslet is planned to work the 1130, 1230, 1400, 1500 and 1600 trains. Motor Rail 1320 (the “block of flats”) will work the 1200 and 1330 trains. Motor Rail 1369 (the Salvage Squad “Tin Turtle”) will work the 1430 and 1530 trains.
August 10 & 11 – Stanhope. Auto Jumble/car boot sale on Sunday will see trains worked from 1000 by a diesel loco, most likely the Baguley-Drewry. Stanhope will work steam trains from 1130.
August 17 – O&K 5662, August 18 – Diesel, No.13.
August 24 & 25 – Leafers at t’Pit Land Rover Rally. OK5662 will be working engine.
August 26 – Classic Cars Day – Avonside “Ogwen” will work trains.
