Rather a wet weekend at Apedale, but “Stanhope” taking a turn on the passenger train. Next Saturday will be the Orenstein (diesel on the Sunday) and then the following weekend (October 14 & 15) is the “Farewell, Hudswell” event, with Hunslet 1215 (no.303) and Hudswell 1238 bowing out in style – steam both days.
We’ve also run a training day – one of our members coming to terms (maybe “turns”) with the gentle and subtle art of hand starting a Ruston.
