Over the years, the members of the Moseley Railway Trust have become noted for the quality of the events which we put on at Apedale. However, our team of volunteers is always in need of extra help. We are particularly keen to hear from community groups (for examples, Scouts or Cadets) who may be able to assist with site stewarding work. In exchange, we offer an interesting and worthwhile day out, and a free steam train ride into the bargain.
We are also keen to hear from traders who may wish to have a stall during the larger events, especially the Military Trains event (Spring bank holiday) and the Railway Gala (September 16 & 17). Traders who are selling items related to the theme of the event are much more likely to have a profitable day, and to be invited to the event.
Finally, a face painter for the family events would be welcomed – particularly the Easter events and the two Teddy Bear events (June and August); this would be on the basis of customers paying per face painted.
