Despite rather nasty weather, work continues unabated at Apedale. The winter PW programme on the main line is pretty much complete, with just a ballast drop still to do. So, attention has switched to the new trackwork outside Aurora South and completing the shed bypass line. Slightly challenging levels mean plenty of ballast was needed here. The ex-MOD hopper and Motor Rail 21520 were serving the troops. This piece of track is being readied to feature in the forthcoming Branch Line Society visit during March – see https://www.branchline.uk
