Now we’re closed for the winter, the focus is very much on winter maintenance and other projects. Two track gangs made good progress with changing sleepers and the ever-necessary, but nasty, job of fishplate greasing. Meanwhile, workshops progressed the 20″ gauge Ruston “Moseley”, further stripping on the Avonside steam loco, and a simple repair returned Motor Rail No.6 to service.
