Alumni Day

We have been honoured to host some rather special guests today; as many know, the Moseley Railway Trust has its roots in a school project at Cheadle, near Stockport. A group of school alumni visited; all a little older and wiser than the 1970s school boys who laid the foundations for today’s Apedale Valley Light Railway. But despite the passage of time, they all remembered the school railway years and the engrained knowledge of “how to drive a Motor Rail” was still there. I wonder which knowledge has been retained better – loco driving or the principle exports and climate of the Ukraine?

As a reminder of the school era, a few photos are posted of an event in July 1997.
