Just a quick reminder that this Saturday we are hosting a visit from the IFA Club. As every schoolboy knows, IFA stands for Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau, which was the industrial conglomerate in East Germany which made road vehicles, including the famous/infamous (delete as seen fit) Trabant and Wartburg. Visitors are welcome to come and inspect these marvels of Eastern Block engineering – but please note the road run starting at 14:30. We will be running steam trains from 1130 to 4pm, using the newly-overhauled loco “Stanhope”. Furry hats and bottles of Vita Cola are optional, depending on the weather.
