Blow away the winter cobwebs with out Winter Warmers gala – one day only, Saturday December 27th. We will be running four of the steam fleet. These will be the War Office Hunslet (HE1215, no.303), Hudswell 1238, Orenstein & Koppel 5662 (the big tender engine) and local favourite “Stanhope” (Kerr, Stuart 2395, from just down the road). Trains will run from 1130 to 4pm. Most action will be on the mainline with a mixture of passenger and freight ops. We’ll run onto the Field Railway if time, available volunteers and the weather are on our side! Standard fares will be charged.

Update 14 December:- There will be a change to the loco line-up for this event. Following re-planning of boiler exams, the locos to be used will be “Stanhope”, “Ogwen”, “WOTO” and Orenstein 5662. There will be an opportunity to see the Hudswell and the Hunslet perform at the Photo Day on January 10.
