In 2010, we opened the UK’s newest 2’0″ gauge railway at Apedale. Since then, the railway and the Moseley Railway Trust has gone from strength to strength. The pandemic stopped us marking the 10th anniversary, so we’ll make the 15th anniversary extra-special.

We’ll have lots of steam, lots of little locos and lots of trains buzzing around the site – all the things which have made Apedale events so memorable over the years. Extra details will be added here as the event is developed during 2025.

We can now confirm that we are expecting to have 8 steam locos in operation at this event. The home fleet will be boosted by the return to traffic of Hudswell Clarke 1238 fresh from its ten-year overhaul. We also expect to welcome two visiting engines – the unique Kerr, Stuart”Diana” and the new-build Kerr,Stuart Wren “Jennie”.

Fares will be Adult £9, Child £5, family (2A+3C) £23. These will be ride-all-day Rover tickets. All we ask is that is that passengers vacate the train each time it returns – to make sure that everyone can have a ride.

HRA passes will not be valid. Trains will run from 1100 until 1600 on both days.
