Apedale boasts the UK’s premier collection of railway equipment from the First World War, and this weekend is the opportunity to see it at work. WW1-era locos will haul passenger trains. Freight trains will see both ww1-era and military trains from later years demonstrated. Visitors can also tour our replica Trench, and learn a little more about the experiences of soldiers during the Great War.

We welcome potential exhibitors, and an exhibit entry form may be downloaded here. Passenger trains will run from 1130 to 4pm on all days.

Fares for this event are Adults £5, children £3, family £12. This allows for a train ride and access to the wider site. Day Rover tickets will be available if you fancy several train rides!
