“Paddy”

Paddy was a characterful vertical-boiler loco which spent a considerable amount of time at Apedale in the early 2010s. It was built by a group of friends in the Whaley Bridge area of Derbyshire using components sourced from a wide variety of origins. When complete, they attached a plate declaring that the loco was built by the “Wilbrighton Wagon Works” as their No.2 of 2007.

The loco was subsequently sold, and is now located at the Statfold Barn Railway. It was re-named “Howard”. At the time of writing (early 2025), the loco is on static display due to an issue with its boiler.
