A full history of this loco is here. Work has now started to return the loco to running condition. This will involve a full engine overhaul and extensive bodywork repairs; cosmetic work was done for the MRT50 event in 2019 – it’s now time to sort out the real issues! The loco has unusual bodywork; the original side of the cab – with the round window distinctive to these Rustons – was re-purposed as the rear of the cab. The engine now fitted appears not to be the orginal; although complete, some work is needed before it can be run again.
