Another busy weekend. Taking advantage of the good weather, a team continued track laying on the museum base. Most of the steel sleepers are in place, and a start has been made on welding the rails to the sleepers – there’s a lot to do! Elsewhere, Hibberd 2514 was given a good run in the hope that its second cylinder could be roused from “observer” to “active participant” status. Some progress was made, but still more to do. The Orenstein handled trains on the passenger railway, with Stanhope also in steam for training.
