Well, that’s Day One of ListerFest done and dusted. Before we go any further, just a public “Many Thanks” to colleagues at the Crewe Heritage Centre for the loan of a 7 1/4″ gauge coach – it got us out of a bit of a problem which arose earlier this week. Thanks, guys!
The running order for passenger trains on Sunday is expected to be as follows (see also notes below)
From 1000 to 1130, passenger trains will be worked by the following locos:-
– 11410 exhibited by Rick Stewart
– 33650 exhibited by Mr Faulkner
– 53225 exhibited by Nick Williams
– 7280 (R&D No.6) exhibited by Mr Clayton
From 1130 to 1400, trains will alternate between Listers and “Stanhope”. Listers which will work in this period are:-
– 51651 exhibited by Mr Hughes
– Ruston 166010
– 7954 (R&D No.3) exhibited by Mr Clayton
– 52886 exhibited by Mr Rees
From 1400 to 1500, “Stanhope” will work all passenger trains while all available Listers take part in the Grand Parade.
From 1500 to 1700, Listers will alternate with Stanhope, with last steam train 1600 (after 1600, Listers only). Locos working in this period are planned to be:-
– 56371, exhibited by Mr Faulkner
– 39005 exhibited by the Tanat Valley Rly
– 52885 (MRT)
– 50888 (MRT)
10805 to be slotted in if it can be made to run.
Notes:-
1:- The locos listed in each time slot will (all being well) work during that time slot – butt the exact order may vary.
2:- Each train is double-headed, usually the “guest” loco plus MRT No.23 (L52031) which provides the air brake control for the passenger stock.
3:- As Saturday showed, old Listers can be temperamental – especially petrol ones – so please forgive if mechanical issues disrupt the above plan.
