A very busy weekend at Apedale. Possibly the highlight was the official completion of the Field Railway loop. A small ceremony saw the Golden Spike knocked in, followed by a team photo. Sadly, the roast oxen and cold collation at a nearby hostelry will have to wait for another day. This is a fine piece of railway, and completes a project started for the 2014 Tracks to the Trenches event (always best not to rush these big tasks). Meanwhile, contractors have started work on the next phase of the Museum project; this stage will get us to a completed floor, with the rail tracks set into the floor.
